IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Adell
Webb
October 24, 1927 – June 7, 2021
Adell Wheeler Webb, beloved daughter of the late Bass and Sally Wheeler, was born in Mitchell County, Georgia on October 24, 1927.
During the early years of her life, she was educated in the Dougherty County School System, including Madison High School.
From a very young age, Adell was nurtured in the Word of God. As a youth, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with the New Jerusalem Baptist Church for a lifetime of Christian stewardship. Through the years, she was a faithful, dedicated member who willingly served in numerous capacities wherever needed. "Mother Webb and Ms. Adell" as she was endearingly called by many, was a prayer warrior whose faith never wavered—she was rooted and grounded in the Lord.
Domestic at heart, Ms. Adell was a meticulous homemaker and mother who was diligent in caring for the needs of her family. She was an exceptional cook, delighted in preparing delicious meals, and eagerly welcomed family and friends into her home to enjoy her soulful dishes.
Blessed beyond measure, Mother Webb lived a rich and rewarding life; reached the hallowed age of 93; and was loved by all who had the privilege of being a part of her life. She was a stern but caring lady who willingly helped others without expecting anything in return. The strong bonds of friendship that she developed through the years will forever be cherished and remembered.
On Monday, June 7, 2021, Mother Webb transitioned from this earthly life to everlasting rest and peace with the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Webb; and seven siblings, Delores Ashe, Evelyn Whatley, Lillie Mae Crosley, Joseph Wheeler, Albert Wheeler, Edward Wheeler, and Willie C. Wheeler.
Precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of her daughters, Laverne Harvey Cheeks and Lillie Ruth Harvey; her grandchildren, Tiffini Harvey (James), Kimberly Cheeks-Stroud (Kevin), Jimmiere Cheeks, and Octavious Spurling; daughter-in-law, Patricia Webb; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a special son-in-law, James Brown; sister-in-law, Georgia Lee Wheeler; a very dear cousin, Gloria Jean Hosley; a special niece, Patricia Crosley; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and friends .
