Alden Hammond, son of Louise Hammond Reed and the late McArthur Daniels, was born in Morgan, Georgia on April 10, 1968. He was the oldest of eight siblings.

During his early childhood, he attended the public schools of Lee County, graduating from Lee County High School. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a very young age.

Over the years, Alden took pride in the services that he provided as an employee of Jaxx Beverage Company. He was a worker who was totally committed to his job and rendered 26 years of loyal and unwavering service.

Alden believed strongly in family ties and responsibilities and he savored the time spent with his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed making people laugh, and could always find the silver lining in any situation. When in his presence, there was never a dull moment. He will be remembered for his kindness to all people—family, friends, and strangers.

On July 19, 2018, Alden's earthly journey ended. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Buffy Daniels. He will be missed; but we will hold on to the memories that he created with each of us.

He leaves to mourn his departure and cherish fond memories, his loving mother, Louise Reed; six children, Alquonda Hammond, Tyrone Taylor Altevious Hammond, Alexis Hammond, Aldreika Hammond, and Altambournyia Hammond; seven siblings, Sabrina Bryant, Walter Favors, Yolanda Reed, Takyna Reed all of Albany, GA, Rodney Flemming of Panama City, FL, and Shauna Daniels of Tampa, FL; eight grandchildren; a long-time friend and companion, Margaretta Watson; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; his best friend, David Hammond; and numerous co-workers and friends.
