Obituary

Alonzo T. Boone began his earthly journey on March 2, 1976, in Albany, Georgia.  He was the son of Delbrann Robinson.

He received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Albany High School.  Throughout school, Alonzo garnered much from his educational experiences while actively participating in numerous student-centered functions and activities.

Alonzo was a very independent, conscientious individual who had an everlasting love for his children.  Those who encountered him often described him as a very caring and hardworking father who provided unconditionally for his family.  His employment record at Uncle Roberts car dealership was defined by hard work and unquestionable integrity. For more than 30 years, he was a loyal, dedicated employee who was punctual; always prepared for work; jovial but sincere; and worked tirelessly to ensure that no task was ever left undone.

Devoted father, committed brother, one-of-a-kind uncle, caring cousin, and loyal friend, Alonzo cherished every moment of his life and greeted each day with a smile.  Anyone who knew him would agree that he was very outspoken, unpretentious, and oftentimes the life of the crowd.  Music was an integral part of his life and he truly loved to dance.   His memory will live on in the hearts of family and friends who loved him dearly.

On July 2, 2025, Alonzo transitioned from this earthly journey to  eternal rest.  He was preceded in death by his son, Kinjerman Boone; his grandparents, Jimmy and Bethal Robinson; and a close friend, David Brown.

Alonzo is survived by his beloved wife, Tomeka Boone; his mother, Delbrann Robinson; children, Alonzo Boone, Jr., Latoya Brantley, Zaquashalyn Holsey, Darrius Boone, Kamice Jones, and Quincy Hayes; siblings, Betty Robinson, Donnie Robinson, Silas Gibson, and English (Nicole) Farrior; twelve grandchildren; two special cousins, Shadrick Robinson and Pamela Robinson; very close friends, Reco Allen and James Lunsford; mother-in-law, Geraldine Holsey; father-in-law, Jessie Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
