Obituary

Amanda Lynn Turner was born in Albany, Georgia on June 19, 1978, to Charlie Ed Turner, Jr. and the late Josie Ann Turner Hayes.

She received her formal education in the Dougherty County School System, and later graduated from Southwest Georgia Regional Academy. Throughout her school years, Amanda's personality made her a favorite among fellow classmates, teachers, and close friends.

An altruistic mother whose hands were never idle, Amanda worked hard to consistently create a home environment filled with love, kindness and joy; always giving her best to her children who held the key to her heart. Not only was she a meticulous homemaker, but a great provider for her family as well. While worked Krystal's and various other food service establishments for innumerable years, she never shied away from hard work and always gave her best—no matter what the task. To say she enjoyed her work is an understatement; she loved comradery, teamwork, and serving others. Amanda was a loyal, dedicated employee who rendered outstanding service throughout her employment.

Often described as a free-spirited individual, Amanda was extremely straight-forward, unpretentious, and strong-willed. She had the unique ability to turn an ordinary day into an adventure, a chore into an activity, and a boring evening into an unforgettable memory. When in her presence, there was never a dull moment. She noticed the beauty in all things, the good in everyone, and no one was ever considered a stranger.

Amanda had a jubilant, glowing personality that would lift your spirits and brighten your day—to know her was to dearly love her! In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her dearly.

On April 14, 2025, Amanda transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Charlie ED Turner Sr., her uncle Jerry Turner, her nephew JahTay Winchester and cousin Cedric Taylor. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Lionel Turner and Carlmya Turner-Parks; and a nephew, Kourtni Turner, Sr. In the hearts of her children, La'Porshia Turner, De'Eric Adams, and Ja'Quentae Washington; her grandchildren, De'Erica Green and De'Eric Green; siblings, Charles Addison, Latosha Winchester, and Jacquelyn Turner.

She is also survived by Her Grandmother Carolyn Turner and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends
