Obituary

Anderson Bush was born February 7, 1951, in Lee County, Georgia. He was the beloved son of the late Arthur and Juliette Bush.

He received his formal education in the Lee County School System, including Lee County Training School where he graduated in the class of 1970. Throughout his school years, he was active in numerous school organizations, activities, and sporting events.

At a very early age, Anderson accepted Christ as his Savior and united with New Hope A. M. E. Church. Throughout life's journey, his faith never wavered and he remained a faithful servant of the Lord.

Strong yet humble, Anderson was a very unique man who was full of life, compassionate, loving, and giving. He took advantage of every opportunity to spend time with his family and friends, and to savor the beauty of life. His sister, Donna French, was a major influence in his life and helped him to maintain balance and common ground. Anderson had an engaging personality, a gigantic heart, a very welcoming spirit, and he enjoyed having fun. The strong bonds of friendship that he developed throughout his life will long be remembered and cherished.

On May 24, 2020, Anderson's earthly journey ended as he entered into eternal rest. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Edgar Brown, Willie Bush, Woodrow Bush, and Fred Bush.

Loving memories will forever remain in the hearts of his children, Tavares Bush and Terrisaki Bush of Smithville, GA; stepchildren, Dexter Tyson and Patrick Tyson; siblings, twin brother Andrew Bush of Smithville, GA and Johnny (Fannie) Bush of Memphis, TN; five grandchildren, Keilonda Bush, Deshona Bush, Dequan Thomas, Camary Bush, and Lalela Bush; four great grandchildren; nephews and nieces, John Jones, Jr., Stephen Jones, Tara Acres, and Miyaka Edwards; sister-in-law, Dorothy Bush; a devoted friend, Kenny Stewart; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
