Obituary

Annie Bell Rouse, daughter of the late Martha and Emmitt Davis, Sr., was born May 6, 1949, in Leesburg, Georgia.

She was educated in the Lee County School System where she was active in numerous school organizations and activities.  Annie Bell was a very talented young woman who took advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow.  After relocating to Yonkers, New York, she continued her education and completed the requirements to become a certified nursing  professional.

At a very early age, she accepted Christ as her Savior.  Throughout life,  she remained steadfast and prayerful—always giving God the glory and praise.

Annie Bell was a committed mother who devoted her life to caring  for the needs of her family through her nursing career.  She was someone who wanted to be of service and worked hard to consistently pursue excellence in her work.  She retired having rendered years of loyal and dedicated service.

Always gentle and kind, Annie Bell was a selfless person who saw the beauty in all things, accepted everyone for who they were, and openly welcomed them into her heart and home.  She was looked upon as a trusted counsel, a difference maker, and an unforgettable friend.  Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin, she had an over-flowing abundance of love for her family and enjoyed spending quality time with them.   Her grand-children and great grandchildren were the "apples of her eye" and definitely held the key to her heart.  She laughed often, loved deeply, lived life to the fullest, and could often be found enjoying nature and FISHING.

On March 16, 2021, Annie Bell departed this life at Saint Joseph Hospital in Yonkers, New York.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine siblings, Mattie Mae Roberts, Louise  Randall, Mary Paulhill, Jimmy Davis, Charlie Brown, John Lee Davis, Emmitt Davis, Jr., Eddie Davis, and Jessie Mae Williams.

Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of her sons, Derrick Davis and Jerome Davis; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; six siblings, Dennis Davis, Martha Kate Jackson, Donald Earl (Eva) Davis, Jennifer Lois Davis, Jerry Frank Davis, and Eva      Stephens; best friend, Delores Jordan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
