Obituary

Annie Doris Williams was born in Baconton, Georgia on May 27, 1947.  She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ollie Mae Williams.

During the early years of her life, she attended school in Mitchell County where she participated in various school activities and functions.

At a very young age, she professed her faith and belief in Christ Jesus and united with Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Baconton, Georgia

In 1969, she was united in holy matrimony to Thomas Carlton Williams. Their union stood the test of time and they were blessed with four loving children.  As a wife and mother,  Annie Doris was constant in her efforts to care for the needs of her family through her employment as a bus driver for the Atlanta Public School System.  She retired after rendering innumerable years of loyal and dedicated service.   In her leisure time, she enjoyed music and dancing.

Annie Doris was a very happy and kind-hearted person.  She would always find he good in people and could make a friend anywhere she went.  She was also a giver—always willing to give everything she had to put a smile on someone's face.  Annie Doris had a spirit of sunshine and laughter that could be felt by all who encountered her.  Family and friends were among her greatest joys and she delighted in spending quality time with them.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

On August 2, 2019, Annie Doris was called to eternal rest.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Carlton Williams; two children, Thomas Carlton Williams, Jr. and Darryl Williams; and one brother, Eddie James Williams.

Loving memories will be forever cherished by her children, Eddie (Tammy) Williams and Crystal Williams of Atlanta, GA; six siblings, Robert (Sammie) Williams, Arthur C. Williams, Emery Williams, Edward Williams, Ernest Williams, Jr., and Joanne Williams Jackson; 18 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
