IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anthony R.
Williams
May 20, 1963 – February 17, 2023
Anthony Recardo Williams, son of the late Willie Arthur Williams and Alease Barbara Williams, was born in Albany, Georgia on May 20, 1963.
He was educated in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Albany High School. Throughout school, Anthony was an energetic, strong-willed young man who marched to the beat of his own drum. While at Albany High, he was proud to be an Indian football player and pushed himself to become an exceptional athlete and teammate.
Having confessed his love for God and belief in his son Jesus Christ, Anthony received salvation. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Believers and enjoyed fellowshipping with the saints.
Anthony was a conscientious, persistent individual who was no stranger to hard work. For numerous years, he worked untiringly in sanitation services until becoming disabled. No matter what the task, he always gave his best and prided himself in a job well done.
Simply a true joy to everyone around him, Anthony experienced life to the fullest. When in the company of family and friends, he was oftentimes the life of the crowd. He had an infectious sense of humor and an exuberant personality that touched everyone around him. While he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, his all-time favorite pastime was watching his favorite teams on television—the Atlanta Falcons and the Georgia Bulldogs. If ever in his presence, you definitely had to cheer for HIS team. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Anthony departed this earthly life on Friday, February 17, 2023. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Gary Williams, Lewis Williams, Minister Paul Wooden and a sister, Virginia Williams.
Loving memories will forever remain in the hearts of his children, Antionette Williams and Tay Williams; his siblings, Sharon Walton, Benjie (Stephanie) Williams, and Gloria King; a special cousin, Gwendolyn Rollins; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
