IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Apostle Dr.
James A. Adams
September 2, 1947 – August 11, 2024
APOSTLE DR.JAMES ALLEN ADAMS was born in Lake Worth, Florida, on September 2, 1947. He was the beloved son of the late Lee Allen Adams and Margaret Hill Adams.
He was educated in the Palm Beach County School District, graduating from JFK High School in Riviera Beach, Florida. Realizing very early that he had a natural gift for serving and a profound calling on his life, James took advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow.
Throughout his higher education academic journey, he was a brilliant student and earned multiple theological degrees, including the Master's and Doctorate of Divinity degrees from Faith Grant College in Birmingham, Alabama.
Growing up in a strong Christian home, James was taught the Word of God and the value of living a Christ-like life. His faith and belief in the Lord led him on an unparalleled journey of Christian stewardship. Armed with a deep understanding of scripture and a passion for guiding others towards spiritual enlightenment, Dr. Adams was the founder and president of Love of God Theological Seminary in Bradenton, Florida.
Affectionately called "Doc" by colleagues and students, he served with unwavering dedication and love; provided guidance and support; imparted knowledge and wisdom; and gave of himself freely for many years. Yes, he was a beloved and esteemed man of God who was a leader, educator, visionary, and confidant. He also wrote, produced, and sold thousands of records, including the world renowned "Satisfied With Jesus". After relocating to Albany, Georgia, God entrusted Apostle Adams to establish and pastor the Love of God Christian Fellowship Church. There, he poured out his knowledge, in-depth biblical teaching, and faith in the Lord to countless individuals who sought solace within the church's walls. "Doc" was a wise and courageous servant who trusted God completely and listened daily for His instructions. Through the years, he inspired many to go forth in the Lord. You could not know him without being inspired by his anointing from on High, his unfaltering devotion to his ministry, and his strong faith and convictions that allowed him to be an example for all who encountered him.
While Apostle Adams never sought to make a name for himself, his remarkable reputation ensured that he was always recognized and respected wherever he went. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who was full of life, love, and kindness. Anyone who knew him would agree that he was extremely straight-forward, unpretentious, and strong-willed; but he was also the voice of calm, comfort, and humility.
Having the privilege of being a part of his life was to know that you were dearly loved. Apostle Adams dedicated his life to serving others and spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ. He was a great example of a man that followed God; and no doubt, his legacy has followed him to
Heaven. One of his greatest earthly pleasures was sampling and eating well-prepared soulful meals. Without a doubt, he was a connoisseur of fine food.
On August 11, 2024, God in His infinite wisdom, saw fit to call his faithful servant Home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings: Jessie Louis Hill, Reverend Charles Adams, Delores Joseph, and Larcenia Tabor.
