Mrs. Ardella McAfee was born in Sasser, Terrell County, Georgia on October 7, 1923. She was the beloved daughter of the late Wash and Nettie Brantley.

A peaceful, loving, and strong woman of faith, Ardella was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a faithful servant and a very dutiful member of the Kingdom Hall of Albany, Georgia, where she remained unceasingly committed to spreading the word of Jehovah.

She was united in holy matrimony to the late Frank McAfee. Their union endured through the years and was blessed with loving children.

Ardella was a selfless person who saw the beauty in all things, accepted everyone for who they were, and openly welcomed them into her heart and home. She was a devoted wife, a phenomenal mother, an extraordinary grandmother and great grandmother, a wonderful sister and aunt, a loving cousin, and an unforgettable friend. Her compassionate spirit, encouraging words, and kind deeds enriched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her dearly.

Transitioning is a golden key opens the place of eternity, thus, Ardella entered this place of eternity on Saturday, August 15, 2020, at her daughter's home in Alpharetta, Georgia.

C herished memories will forever remain with her children, Curtis Reid, Charles McAfee, and Sharon Emiarata all of Albany, GA and Beverly Mills of Alpharetta, GA; stepdaughters, Doris Grisson and Alpha Dunam of Albany, GA; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; one sister, Gladys Suber of Philadelphia, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
