Arthur Lee Morris, Jr., son of Arthur Lee Morris, Sr. and Rosa Mae Morris-Thomas, was born in Albany, Georgia on September 20, 1956.
He attended the public schools of Dougherty County, including Monroe High School where he participated in numerous school programs and activities.
Over the years, Arthur worked untiringly in the construction industry. He was totally committed to his job and always mad sure that no task was left undone.
Arthur was a very friendly, outgoing person who gained much from life's experiences. He could always be counted on to lend a helping hand whenever needed. He was described by family and friends as a hard worker, a loving son, a supportive father and grandfather, a caring brother, a cool uncle, and an exceptional friend. Arthur laughed often, loved deeply, and lived life to the fullest. He will be remembered as one who cared deeply for his family, who kept everyone laughing, and who enjoyed music and dancing.
On Sunday, May 27, 2018, Arthur departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Nathan James Morris and Richard Anthony Morris.
His love and fond memories will forever cherished by his parents, Rosa Mae Morris-Thomas of Albany, GA and Arthur Lee Morris, Sr. of Newark, NJ; siblings, Charles Edward Morris and Gwendolyn Diane Morris of Albany, GA, and Rodney Morris, Corey Morris, Christopher Morris, and Darlene Morris all of Newark, NJ; two grandchildren, Harrell Hicks and Landen Hicks of Albany, GA; two great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Shanda Morris of Albany, GA; goddaughter, Twana Dixon o Albany, GA; two very special friends, Sabrina Harper and Johnny Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
