Aurora Shondal Wimbish, daughter of Sandra Eady and Ernest Thomas, was born in Albany, Georgia on October 8, 1971.

She received her elementary and secondary education in the Dougherty County School System. Throughout school, Aurora was a considerate, attentive young lady with a yearning to be of serve and help others. Believing strongly in advanced education, she completed all requirements to become a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).

Aurora was a devoted mother and grandmother who was unwavering in her dedication to foster a home filled with joy and unconditional love. For many years, she skillfully balanced her responsibilities as a homemaker with her employment as a CNA at Palmyra Nursing Home. Aurora had a natural gift for helping others and took great pleasure in serving her patients with dignity, respect, and true compassion. She had a quiet strength, never complained nor shied away from hard work, and she easily conquered every task that was placed before her.

Known to have a sweet caring spirit, Aurora had servant's heart and never hesitated to help anyone in need. She was a trusted friend and confidant, accepted everyone for who they were, and openly welcomed family and friends into her heart and home. Having the privilege of being loved by her was to know you would be loved for a lifetime.

On Monday, April 24, 2023, Aurora faced the sunset of her earthly journey and quietly entered into eternal rest. Although her departure leaves a void, we rejoice in knowing that we will see her again.

Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of her parents, Ernest Thomas and Sandra Eady; her children, Jessica Nicole Wimbish, Johntravious Antonio Wimbish, Johnthan Maurice Wimbish, Marquise Ray'shawn Wimbish, and Jazzmine Zha'ne Wimbish; grandchildren, Jyrianna Foster, Jviunna Wimbish, Johntravious Wimbish, Jr., Eden Weaver, Johntavious Wimbish, and Micah Carter; siblings, Gary Thoas, Sunja Harris, Hope Ealey, Montavious McKenzie, Ernest Thomas, III, Valerie Thomas, Melissa Thomas, Randy Thomas, and Angie Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
