Avis Lakeshia Irvin was born in Albany, Georgia on September 10, 1973, to the late Dale Irvin and the late Carlos Richardson.

She received her formal education in the Dougherty County School System and actively participated in numerous school functions and activities.  At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Avis lived a life of kindness and compassion tempered with a vibrant, exuberant spirit.  She was blessed not only with children, but grandchildren who were a source of joy and pride in her life.  The family shared many happy moments together and truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life.  She believed deeply in unconditional love and delighted in helping others.

On June 11, 2022, she made a peaceful transition to her eternal home.  Her presence will deeply be missed by all who had the privilege to have known her.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by her children, Tinesha Irvin, Quantisha Irvin, Calandra Irvin, and Deangelo Lunsford; her grandmother, Margaret J. Irvin; siblings, Carlos Kendricks, Tara Irvin, and Samaria (Michael) O'Kelley; aunt and uncles, Lisa Thomas, David Irvin, and John H. Irvin, Jr.; a devoted niece and nephew, Erika Eason and Michael Eason; very special cousins, Daphne Irvin, Andrew Irvin, and Derrick Irvin; nine grandchildren; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
