Ms. Barbara Jean Roberts was born in Albany, Georgia on September 5, 1952 to the late Mrs. Henri Mae Hicks-McGill and Mr. Alexander Williams of Albany, Ga. She was united in holy matrimony to Willie Charles Roberts. During this union one child was born.

Barbara confessed her life to Christ at an early age, and she became a member of Monroe Street Church of God in Christ. She later joined Victorious Life Church of Albany, Ga., then became a member of A City On A Hill Faith Ministries Inc., and served faithfully until her health failed.

Barbara received her formal education in the Dougherty County School System, and her high school diploma from South West Georgia Regional Academy. She was also a graduate of Albany Beauty School of Cosmetology.

Barbara was employed for many years at Daylight Grocery Store on South Jackson Street. She later gained employment at MacGregor's where she worked for a few years. Barbara would soon become an entrepreneur and open "Barbara's Beauty Salon". She successfully ran her own business until she later moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she worked as a stylist for Clara's Hair Designers. She dedicated her skills and passion to taking care of other's hair care needs, and loved it.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Henri Mae Hicks-McGill, her father, Alexander Williams, Brothers, Samuel Hicks, Clarence Hicks, Willie Hicks, Eddie Hicks, and Reginald Hicks.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted daughter Rosalyn Roberts-Shealy, and Son-in-Law, Darrell Shealy Sr. of Albany, Ga. Three sisters, Carol Lewis and Annie Hicks both from Albany, Ga.; Tawana Carter of Alpharetta, Ga. One brother, Gary Hicks of Albany, Ga., and one sister-in law, Dorothy Hicks of Albany, Ga. Mother of Love, Geraldine Williams of Albany, Ga.; Sisters of Love, Shelia Ann Butler, and Gloria Weeks, both of Albany, Ga.; Four greatgrandchildren, Naleiya, Zion, Noah, and Liam. Two GodDaughters, April Knighton-Thomas, and Dionka Lucas. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.
