Our beloved sister gained her wings on April 18, 2022. God saw fit to remove the sixth link from the chain of nine. Barbara was born on July 6, 1964 in Leesburg, Georgia to the late Gracie W. Everett and Roy Lee Duncan.

Barbara is a 1982 graduate of Lee County High School. She attended Meadows College in 1984 and majored in Medical Assistance where she was Valedictorian. She loved to cook and prepare food for family and friends. Her heart felt passion was helping others.

Barbara was small in stature but big at heart.

Her work history included several years at Tara Foods Inc. of Albany, GA as Safety Coordinator, Sowega Council on Aging, Housekeeping, and Cagles.

At an early age, she confessed Christ and joined the Wooden Grove Baptist Church in Leesburg, Georgia under the leadership of her late Great Uncle, Reverend Murray Willis. She later moved her membership to the Zion Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Apostle Henry L. Holsey.

She was at peace knowing that she had to leave this earthly tabernacle and go to a place not made by the hands of man. She leaves to cherish her memory;  a loving and supporting companion, David McGrady of Americus, Ga; a beloved son, Antonio (Quatilia) Waters; her grandchildren Mykia Waters, Na'Ziayha Waters, Ryan Waters, Kamryn Waters, Toni Eva Grace Waters, Kirstin Ball, and J'Marcus Alford; one God-Grandchild ,Christopher Lee McCray; her brothers, Frank (Gloria) Waters, Clifford (Tammy) Waters of Albany, GA; Will Bryant of Cleveland, OH; her sisters Carolyn Waters of Albany, GA ; LaVonda Waters of Tallahassee, FL, Juanita (Johnny) Jackson and Sholanda Waters of Leesburg, GA; five siblings proceeded her in death Harrie Lee Brown of Leesburg, GA ; Charlie (Ida) Daniels of Leesburg GA, Johnny (Dollie) Daniels of Albany, GA ; Rella Waters of Leesburg, GA; Soloman (Lilly) Brown of Albany, GA; one uncle proceeded her in death ,Dr. Jimmy (Dorothy) L. Sneed, one well remembered cousin, the late Mary Batten, and one favorite cousin, Daniel White of Albany, GA and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers who will always remember her.
