Obituary

The journey of life for Beatrice Bullock began in Albany, Georgia on March 22, 1949.  She was the beloved daughter of the late Johnnie Mae Brown and Reverend Jerry Carr.

She was educated in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Monroe High School. Throughout school, she was a very spirited, thoughtful, and attentive young lady who was a ray of sunshine for teachers, fellow students, and close friends.

Beatrice's love for God and the church began at a very early age.  As her relationship with the Lord deepened, she united with The Church of Jesus Christ Believers under the leadership of Bishop Robert Lawson. She dearly loved the Lord and availed herself in steadfast and unwavering evangelistic service.  Evangelist Bullock lived her conviction of service and ministered to all who would hear her.  She was a trusted advisor, teacher, confident, protector, provider, and friend who willingly helped those in need and   exhorted everyone to believe the best of others, believe God, and act in faith.

She was united in marriage to the late Jimmy Lee Fletcher, Sr. and their union was blessed with eight children.  In later years, she given a second chance at love and marriage with Walter Bullock.  They shared  a devotion to one another that was unshakeable and endured for 29 years.  Beatrice was a selfless, altruistic wife and mother who ate not the bread of idleness and always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family.  She was a loyal, dedicated food service employee of the Lee County School System who rendered years of unmatched service.  She had a quiet strength, never complained, and always looked forward to a better future.

Often described as a compassionate, kind, and giving individual, Beatrice loved unconditionally and impacted the lives of everyone around her in a very special way.  Her heart and her doors were always open to anyone in need.  Beatrice's kind spirit and "open arms" will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

On May 18, 2022, Evangelist Bullock transitioned from this earthly journey to eternal peace and rest.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven siblings, Mattie Richardson, Alice Filmore, Marie Upshaw, Bishop Carr, James Carr, Eddie Carr, and Little Willie Carr.

Cherished memories will forever remain with her devoted husband, Walter Bullock; her children, Jimmy Lee (Johnnie Mae) Fletcher, Jr., Regina (Curtis) Ezell, Jerome (Gwen) Fletcher, Cassandra Fletcher, Timothy Fletcher, Alicia Fletcher, Amanda Fletcher, and Angela Fletcher; siblings, Ida (Calvin) Austin, Ella Jones, Martha Whitehead, Doretha Dandy, Queen-Esther Brown, and Dizzy Carr; 30 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and her best friend in Christ, Robbie Chatman.
