Bennie C. Paige Jr. was born on February 20, 1955 in Spaulding County to Ms. Jimmie Ruth Brown and the late Mr. Bennie C. Paige Sr. He departed this life on earth and entered into eternal life with God on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
Bennie attended the Spaulding County School system and was a 1973 graduate of Griffin High School in Griffin, GA. He continued his studies
at Albany State University and graduated in 1979 with a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting. Bennie began his work career at MCLB in Albany, GA. He was blessed with a strong work ethic and established himself as a conscientious, persistent, punctual, loyal and dedicated employee of MCLB and retired after 37 years of dedicated service.
Bennie, a sports enthusiast enjoyed tennis, swimming, cycling and scuba diving. He worked out at the gym daily and he and his wife Shirley and family travelled extensively. He was member of Blacks in Government and The American Legion.
Bennie was united in holy matrimony to his beloved soulmate Shirley Garrett on June 22, 1985. Their union was unshakeable and endured for 37 years. His love for his wife was unmatched-she was the sparkle in his life, the beat in his heart and the air that he breathed. He was a hard working husband and father who was dedicated to his family and committed to God. The strong bond of friendship that he developed throughout his life will forever be cherished and remembered.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bennie C. Paige Sr., step-father, Robert Brown, his son, Bennie C. Paige III and his brother Rickey Paige.
Bennie's legacy will be cherished by his loving wife, Shirley Garrett Paige of Albany, GA, his children; Benelius Paige of Albany, GA, Bryan Paige of Blakely, Ga, Amber Paige of Augusta, GA, his mother, Mrs. Jimmie Ruth Brown of Griffin, GA, siblings; Shirley Paige McDaniel (Larry) of Lake Spivey, GA, Kenneth Paige (Surilla) of Griffin, GA, Gary Paige (Yolanda) of Griffin, GA, Patrice Mitchell (Anthony) of Griffin, GA Cedric Gadson (Sidney) of Jonesboro, GA Rosia Savage of Griffin, GA Valerie Hall of Macon, GA, Benny Paige (Monique) of Griffin, GA , his aunts; Claudette Lewis, Feddie Ridgeway and Catherine Carter, four special friends; Fred Hill, Larry Smith, Maxy Hightower Ray Adams and Micheal Brown, nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
