"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens." Ecclesiastes 3: 1

A Time to Be Born: The season of life for Bertha Lee Johnson began in Albany, Georgia on June 24, 1950. She was born to the late Eddie D. and Rosemary Johnson.

A Time to Learn: She received her formal education in the Dougherty County School System, including Monroe High School where she graduated.

A Time to Serve: From a very early age, Bertha was nurtured in the Word of God and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She united with Second Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (The Rock Church) under the leadership and guidance of the late Pastor J. H. Reynolds and served faithfully for many years.

A Time to Work: Bertha held fast to her belief that work is honorable. For several years, she labored tirelessly at Sunnyland Farms Pecan Company. In later years, her domestic skills were put to test as she transitioned from the workforce to become a homemaker.

A Time to Embrace: Loving companion, caring sister, nurturing aunt, committed cousin, and loyal friend; Bertha was a very kind and gentle-hearted person who embraced life's experiences with open arms. She believed deeply in unconditional love and truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She delighted in helping and caring for others, and her engaging personality captured the hearts of all who knew her.

A Time to Rest: On Thursday, November 8, 2018, Bertha's earthly journey ended as she entered into eternal rest at the Willson Hospice House. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Jackson and Bobby Jackson.
