Bobby Lee Davis was born in Albany, Georgia on August 29, 1956. He was the son of Annie Davis Isom and the late Lessie Lee Davis.
He attended the public schools of Dougherty County, including Monroe High School. While at Monroe, he participated in various school activities and was a member of the graduating class of 1974.
Believing strongly in loyalty and commitment to his country, Bobby enlisted in the United States Army where he served with distinction in the infantry. During his enlistment, he received numerous commendations for his valor and bravery. At the close of his tour of duty, he was honorably discharged and, thereafter, transitioned to a career as a self-employed master painter. Bobby not only took pride in his work, but truly relished the friends that he made throughout his time in business. His expertise in the industry, creative abilities, and business ethics yielded him the reputation of being "top notch" in his field throughout Southwest Georgia.
Bobby was a selfless, hardworking, and generous man who enjoyed being active and especially enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. His quick wit and encouraging smile made him a favorite among all who came in contact with him. He will be deeply missed.
On, Friday, June 15, 2018, Bobby departed this earthly life as he entered into eternal rest. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Lee Davis.
He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish fond memories his loving mother, Annie Davis Isom; siblings, Estella Mathis of Atlanta, GA, Jimmy (Versie) Davis of Grayson, GA, Leonard (Claresa) Davis of Accokeek, MD, Gloria (George) Green of Snellville, GA, Glenda (Rufus) Lang of Tallanassee, FL, and Earnest Davis and Malcolm (Trish) Davis of Albany, GA; four aunts, Cora Peterson and Ossie Davis of Albany, GA, Eunice West of South Bay, FL, and Annie Maude Bennett of New York; five uncles, Roosevelt Wilson of Atlanta, GA, and Homer Wilson, Reverend Eddie L. (Marjorie) Wilson, Tommy Wilson, and Ulysses (Sharon) Wilson all of Albany, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
