Bobby Lee Orange was born in Pompano Beach, Florida on May 20, 1953.
He was educated in the Broward County School System, graduating from Coconut Creek High School in 1971. Throughout school, Bobby was an exceptionally conscientious student who garnered much from his educational experiences and was actively involved in various school activities and events.
Very early in life, Bobby was taught the Word of God and the importance of living a life of integrity and loving kindness. As a youth, he began is Christian journey at Thomas Temple Church of God in Christ. He later united with World Church of the living God in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he served faithfully in his calling as a Deacon. He dearly loved the Lord and remained steadfast as he heed the "call" to preach and teach the gospel of Christ; ministering to all who would hear.
A military enthusiast, Bobby served in the United States Air Force where he became a soldier to the core. The discipline and patriotism that he learned and his code of loyalty never left him. While stationed at various military installations, he received numerous commendations and awards as he advanced in the military ranks. At the close of his tours of duty, he received an honorable discharge and, thereafter, transitioned to civilian life as an employee with the Broward County School System. Bobby impacted many students and staff during his tenure as head custodian and custodial supervisor. He was proud of the services he provided at Nob Hill Middle School and always gave his very best.
Often described as a mild mannered good hearted individual, Bobby was a true joy to everyone around him. He had a mind that never ceased questioning, a serious twinkle in his eyes, and a heart that opened freely to family and friends.
His genuine warmth, generosity, and willingness to help others speak to his character and personal conviction. He was a caring father, nurturing grandfather, awesome brother, supportive uncle, committed cousin, and loyal friend who will be deeply missed.
On March 22, 2024, Bobby faced the sunset of his earthly life at his residence.
Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of his children, Angela Orange and Brandic L. Green; siblings, William H. (Gloria) Orange, Joseph Orange, Sr., Jimmie L. (Lois) Orange, Dorothy Jean Orange, Annie Joyce Orange Miller, Diane Mary Orange, and Queen E. Benjamin; grandchild, Colby Greene; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
