A Time To Be Born: Bruce Allen Deriso, Sr., son of Betty Neal Thomas and Robert Lee Jones, Jr., was born in Americus, Georgia on October 10, 1972.
A Time To Learn: He attended the public schools of Sumpter County, including Sumpter County High School where he graduated in the class of 1992. He continued his education at Fort Valley State University.
A Time To Worship: Upon the profession of his faith and belief in Jesus Christ, Bruce united with the Marthanna Living Way of Christ Church.
A Time To Love: Bruce was united in holy matrimony to his beloved Yolanda Lewis—a union that stood the test of time.
A Time To Work: Over the years, Bruce devoted much of his time and energy to caring for the needs of his family through his employment as a Technician with Mediacom. He was a hardworking, dedicated employee who took great pride in a "job well done."
A Time To Embrace: Devoted husband, loving father, caring brother, nurturing uncle, committed cousin, and loyal friend, Bruce embraced life with open arms. He had a heart of gold and gave of himself freely. He took advantage of every opportunity to spend time with his family and friends, and savor the beauty of life. His engaging personality warmed the hearts of all who knew him.
A Time to Rest: On Thursday, June 22, 2017, Bruce departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Jones, Sr. and Marie Walker
A Time To Cherish: Loving memories will be cherished by his wife, Yolanda Lewis Deriso; his children Dasmin Deriso, Chelsea Deriso, Dayla Lewis, Jada Jackson, Arianna Ford, Xavier Stone, Dorian Rumph, Braxton, Deriso, Dalvin Deriso, Bruce Derison, Jr., and David Deriso; grandparents, Hattie Jones, and McArthur Desriso, Sr.; two sisters, Stacy Deriso and Daphane Deriso; sister–in-law, Wantisa Lewis, brother-in-law, Robert Lewis, Jr.; a special aunt, Betsy Campbell; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
