Born on June 8, 1942, Calvin Johnson, Sr. enriched the lives of all who knew him over the course of his 84 years. His journey took him through many seasons, each marked by grace, dignity, and an unwavering commitment to those around him.

A viewing for Calvin Johnson, Sr. will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Martin Luther King Memorial Chapel, located at 1908 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Albany, GA 31701. The funeral service will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the Doretha H. Payne Chapel at Martin Luther King Funeral Home, also at 1908 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Albany, GA 31701. Following the service, burial will be at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 1210 Eight Mile Road, Albany, GA 31701.
