Calvin J.
Litt, Jr.
December 10, 1988 – September 24, 2021
Calvin James Litt, Jr., loving son of Iris and Calvin J. Litt, Sr., was born in Ferriday, Louisiana on December 10, 1988.
During the early years of his life, he attended school in Louisiana. He continued his education in the Liberty County School System, graduating from Bradwell Institute (Hinesville, Georgia) in 2005. Throughout school, he was an exceptionally talented and astute young man who garnered much from his educational experiences.
Believing strongly in loyalty and commitment to his country, Calvin enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served with distinction. During his enlistment, he received numerous commendations as he advanced in the military ranks. At the close of his tour of duty, he was honorably discharged and, subsequently, transitioned to civilian life.
Calvin had multiple career interests, including employment as a Field Clerk and Train Technician for Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. and Sodexo Operations, LLC of Albany where he worked as a Forklift Mechanic. He was a loyal ad dedicated employee whose career was defined by hard work, high expectations, and unquestionable integrity.
Simply a true joy to everyone around him, Calvin's presence was a gift, as was his fierce love for family, friends, and community. His contagious smile and happy demeanor could light the darkest of spaces. He had a great eye for detail, an amazing ability to organize, and was quite possibly the best son, grandson, companion, nephew, and friend anyone could ever hope for. Calvin enjoyed very diverse hobbies and interests, including tuning sports cars, discussing various prophecies of the Bible, Astrobiology and planets, building/mechanics, traveling and tasting regional foods, and bonding time with his parents.
Calvin faced the sunset of his life on September 24, 2021. His absence will be felt keenly in the hearts of many who loved him dearly.
