CANDY MARIA REESE affectionately known as "Precious" entered this earthly journey on January 19, 1978 to the late Bernard and Mary Alice (Myrick) Reese of Meigs, GA. She was the 4th child of her siblings. She was preceded in death by several family members, including her "Special Brother", brother-in-law, Teddy Charles, Sr.
Candy accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. She became a member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church in Pelham, GA. She was blessed with an anointed gift to dance. She use her gift of praise and worship dance/mime at several events and functions. Precious loved the Lord, and she was very passionate about learning the Word of God and growing in her faith. She remained a faithful member of St. Peter MBC until her transitioned.
Candy was educated in the Thomas County School Systems. She worked at Keystone Food for many years as a seasonal worker. Recently, Candy started a new position at New House Solutions in Thomasville, GA. She was a great cook and often cook for her love ones for family gatherings and holidays. She also enjoyed talking on the phone to her sisters. Her favorite past time was talking to her oldest sister Polly on the phone, hanging out with her middle sister Donna and brother-in-law, Tyrone, and spending time with her children. She loved being around her family and always enjoyed their family gatherings. She especially enjoyed watching her nieces and nephews cut up when they're joking, dancing, playing spades or other games, and having a good time during those gatherings. Her family was the love of her life!
Candy transitioned forever to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021.
Candy leaves to cherish her memories two children, Quandarious Johnson and Ti'Keria Johnson. She also leaves to cherish her memories four loving siblings; Polly Jones of Camilla, GA, Donna (Tyrone) Jones of Pelham, Ga, Isaac Reese of Meigs, GA, and Dorena Wright of Thomasville, GA. Two cousins raised as siblings, Larry Myrick, Jr. of Pelham, GA and Doreatha Myrick of Ochlockanee, GA. Eight living aunts, Emma Lee Turner, Ella Mae Reese, and Pastor Annie Jean McNeil all of Meigs, GA; Joyce Myrick and Olivia Myrick, both are from Ochlocknee, GA; and Lorene Arnold of Moultrie, GA. Six living Uncles, Boykin (Vonne) Reese and Jim Reese, both of Meigs, GA; Mance Myrick of Cairo, GA; Ernest Myrick of Ochlocknee,
GA, Jimmy (Adrian) Myrick of Norfolk, VA, and Daniel McNeil of Miami, FL. Five nieces, Erica Jones of Pelham, GA; Chelsea Jones of Camilla, GA; Clarissa Williams, Latesha Wright, and Natanya Jones, all of Thomasville, GA. Five nephews, Teddy Jones, Jr., Jeffery Jones and Roderick Jones, all of Pelham, GA; Camron Myrick of Thomasville, GA and Zachariah Myrick of Ochlocknee, GA. Three close friends, Kevin Johnson of Camilla, GA; Prophetess Stacy Wade of Baconton, GA and Spiritual Sister/Friend, Earnestine L. Smith of Albany, GA. A host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
