Carlton Alonzas Anderson was born March 23, 1972, in Arlington, Georgia.  He was the beloved son of  Sylvester Anderson and the late Charlene Anderson.

Growing up in Leary, Georgia, he received his early childhood and secondary education in the Calhoun County School System.  Throughout school, he was a very bright and inquisitive young man who garnered much from his educational experiences; actively participated in numerous student-centered activities and sporting events.

At an early age, Carlton accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with Eureka Missionary Baptist Church.  He dearly loved the Lord and remained humble and prayerful in his daily walk.

Carlton was an incredible husband and father who was full of wisdom, compassion, strength, love, and humor.  Family was paramount in his life and he took great care in providing for them through his employment at Bainbridge Golf Course and Tyson Foods.  Over the years, he took great pride in meeting or exceeding company standards.  No matter what the task, he always gave his BEST.

Affectionately called "Duck" by family and friends, Carlton embraced life with open arms and was often described as a social butterfly.  He took advantage of every opportunity to spend time with family and he nurtured relationships with people who remain to this day his life-long friends.  While he enjoyed playing football, basketball, and golf in school, his favorite pastime as an adult was playing pool.  He had one of the best strokes in the game and also the hardest breaks which  earned the coveted title of "one handed bandit" among his peers.

On July 6, 2024, Carlton transitioned from this earthly life.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Christine Marshall; and his paternal grandparents, Katie and Charlie Anderson.

Loving memories will forever remain with his wife, Ernestine Nation Anderson; his children, Dontavious Anderson, Kelsey Anderson, Charles Dunham (Alexis), Taylor Thomas (Francisco Lay), Justin Wise, Zakiyah Sweets, Keambria Glover, and Haven McCray; stepchildren, Breanna Edwards and Milan Francis; siblings, Cartez Anderson (Mattie), Keith Anderson (Vivian), Christian Anderson (Shalia), Travis Cheatem, Vanessa Graves, and Heather Cheatem; a special friend and confidante, Kim Bridges; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
