Carolyn Louise Gaines, beloved daughter of the late Henry L. Gaines, Sr. and Gertrude Shealy Gaines Porter, was born in Albany,
Georgia on June 5, 1950.

Having been taught very early in life to love and reverence God, Carolyn delighted in attending church at Passion Life Church in
McDonough, Georgia.

Carolyn was a strong-willed, feisty individual who had a spirit of sunshine that could be felt by everyone around her. Her smile was
contagious and she had an endless reservoir of love for her family.

She was the kind of person that anyone would be proud to call sister, aunt, cousin, or friend. Road trips were an integral part of Carolyn's life and she truly enjoyed being around people. We all were beneficiaries because her enthusiasm and exuberance were transmissibly memorable. Yes, she was an angel on earth who left an indelible impression on all of our lives.

On May 22, 2023, Carolyn was called home to eternal rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Cathy Taylor, Charlotte Taylor, Henry L. Gaines, Jr., and Albert L. Gaines; and her nephew, Jeremy M. Gaines.

Loving memories will forever remain in the hearts of her siblings, Barbara A. Gaines, Cynthia (Ricky) Blake, Loretta (Rodney) Moore, Charron Randle, and Reverend Samuel Gaines (Barbara); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
