Obituary

Carolyn Lorraine Reddick was born in Camilla, Georgia on July 10, 1948. She was the beloved daughter of the late Willie Roy Reddick and the late Ruby Lee Williams Reddick.

Having professed her faith and belief in Christ, she united with the Beulah Baptist Church of Camilla under the leadership of Minister Grady Pinkney. Throughout life, she was faithful in service.

During the early years of her life, she received her formal education in the public schools of Mitchell County, including Camilla Consolidated High School and was actively involved in numerous school activities and functions. In 1967, she moved to Detroit, Michigan with family living in that area.

Carolyn was a talented young woman who enjoyed life and took advantage of every opportunity to learn, grow, and experience the world. She was a very kind-hearted individual who had the interest of others at heart, who saw the beauty in all things, and whose love for family and friends knew no boundaries.   Carolyn had a quiet strength, never complained, and always had an encouraging word; even when times were tough. She will be deeply missed by family and friends who loved her dearly.

On August 27, 2020, Carolyn's earthly journey ended and she transitioned to eternal peace and rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Reddick.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by her son, Christopher Reddick of Detroit, MI; five siblings, Alice Brown of Ochlocknee, GA, Sammy L. Brown and Terry L. (Estella) Brown of Camilla, GA, and Willie Roy Reddick, Jr. and Robert Reddick of Miami, FL; aunts and uncles, Elena Williams of Pelham, GA, Ammesetta Walker of Camilla, GA, Pearlie Mae Reddick Marshall of Miami, FL, Johnny (Mary) Williams of Albany, GA, Cecil Williams, of Los Angeles, CA, and Robert Reddick of Camilla, GA; and a host
