IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ceasar
Glynn
January 3, 1939 – September 25, 2024
Ceasar Glenn was born in Randolph County, Georgia on January 3, 1939. He was the beloved son of the late Archie Lee Glenn and Annie Mae Jordan Glenn.
Ceasar was an exceptionally inquisitive child who loved learning. Oftentimes, as a student in the Dougherty Randolph County School System, he was the first to arrive at school and waited anxiously for classes to begin. After graduation, his deep thirst for knowledge stirred him to attain higher levels of education. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Savannah State College (University) and a Master's degree in Mathematics from Georgia Southwestern College (University).
Growing up in a strong Christian home, Ceasar was taught the Word of God and the value of living a Christ-like life. At a very early age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with Mount Gilead Baptist church under the leadership of Reverend George W. Jackson. In later years, he united with Greater Second Mt. Olive Baptist Church where he served faithfully in the Transportation Ministry as a van driver. Through the years, his faith and trust in God guided his life and allowed him to be an example for family, friends, and all who came in contact with him.
Mr. Glenn was a molder, a shaper, a builder, and a nurturer of young minds and talents for many years in the educational system. He received countless honors and accolades during his tenure as a teacher in the Terrell County School System and substitute teacher in the Dougherty County School System. Throughout his career, he made a lifelong impact on innumerable students who will carry on his legacy of excellence in education. Often, he was lauded as a "layer of strong mathematical foundations." Always a teacher, Ceasar was known for his gift of gab. He also enjoyed preparing taxes, playing cards and scratch-off's; but most of all, he enjoyed being an educator!
The joys and fulfillment of his life were his family and friends whom God had given him. On September 25,2024, Almighty God in his infinite wisdom and power called his faithful servant home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Nelson Glenn.
His legacy of love and wisdom will be forever cherished by his nieces and nephews, Amanda Hudson, Adriene Hudson, Patricia Edy (Saint Clair Donaldson), Alicia Glenn, Shirley Glenn, Nelson Glenn, Jr. (Qalinder), Timothy Glenn, and Anthony Glenn Hudson; and a host of great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.
