A Time to Be Born: Cedrick Octavius Marshall was born January 25, 1980, in Albany, Georgia. He was the son of Flora Marshall and the late Lee Barber.
A Time to Learn: He received his formal education in the public schools of Dougherty County, including Westover High School. While at Westover, he was active in numerous school functions and events.
A Time to Serve: At a very early age, Cedrick accepted Christ as his Savior and united with Pine Chapel Baptist Church.
A Time to Work: Cedrick was a skilled and resourceful individual with an entrepreneurial spirit. For numerous years, he worked untiringly as part of the team "Stucco Tony and Stucco Cedrick." He took pride in his work and took great care in ensuring that no task was ever left undone.
A Time to Embrace: "Boo Gotti," as he was fondly called, embraced life's experiences with open arms. He had a mind that never ceased questioning, a serious twinkle in his eyes, a fearless spirit, and a heart that opened freely to family and friends. Boo Gotti enjoyed life and all that it had to offer—he was a one-of-a-kind son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who kept everyone of their toes. One of his greatest pleasures in life was FISHING. Oftentimes, he could be found outside enjoying nature and casting his fishing line in a well-stocked pond. Boo Gotti was an amazingly creative dancer with a style of his own. He regularly entertained family and friends with his acclaimed and electrifying moves known as the "Gotti Dance." He also had a deep passion for cooking and could really "throw down" in the kitchen. Above all, he had an abiding love for his girls who held the key to his heart.
A Time to Rest : On Saturday, August 23, 2020, Cedrick earthly journey ended. Although his life here was shortened, he impacted the lives of many with his energetic personality. He will be deeply missed.
A Time to Cherish: Fond memories will forever be cherished by his mother, Flora Marshall; his loving children, Kecederiana Marshall, Nikeryia Marshall, Emari Marshall, Synmiayah Jackson, and Cederia Holsey; siblings, Tony (Luverne) Marshall, Charlie (Barbara) Barber, Robert Stewart, Bridgette Harris, Khadeja (Rodney) Troupe, Mirizim Wilson, Sarah Williams, and La'ney (Mark) Wooten; aunts and uncles, Faye Height, Annie R. (Larry) Bush, Curtis Thomas, and T. J. Thomas; three special nieces, San Quesha (Trey) Ingram, Tiffany Harris, and Zekeria Buchannon; nephew and great nephew, B. J. Harris II and Dresean Johnson; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
