Charles Samuel Lindsey, Jr
. (affectionately known as "Chuck" or "Chuckie") was born on March 1, 1955 to the late Charles Samuel Lindsey, Sr. and Ralpheen Reid Lindsey in Albany, Georgia.
His spiritual fellowship began at Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend E. James Grant.
He was educated at Hazard Laboratory School (of Albany State College) through seventh grade. He attended Albany Junior High School and graduated from Westover High School in 1973. He then attended Tuskegee Institute (University) and Albany State College. He pursued career paths in entrepreneurship and, later, as a certified diesel mechanic and truck driver. He lived a colorful life and, despite obstacle, always kept a jovial sense of humor and optimism.
Those left to cherish his memories and celebrate his life include: his sister, Frieda Lindsey Snead (Joe); his nephew, Jason Reid Lindsey; his favorite niece, Monica Lindsey Ponder; his grand-niece, Lindsey Jai Ponder; first cousins David Lindsey and Ray Lindsey, Jr. (Los Angeles, California); Kay Lindsey (Washington, DC); Terri Johnson (Jerry) (Sacramento, CA); Patrice Parker (Michael) (Camp Springs, MD); Obie Reid (Cheryl) of Charlotte, NC), Frank Reid (Tuskegee, AL) and Patrick Reid (Montgomery, AL); Marjorie Gunn Harris, James Sturdivant and second cousin Clarice Townsend (Chicago, IL); He was further blessed to have a host of extended family and dear friends
