Obituary

Charlie Parker, son of the late David and Doris W. Parker, was born in Albany, Georgia on May 30, 1963.

He attended the public schools of Dougherty County, graduating from Westover High School.  While there, he actively participated in numerous school organizations and functions.

Throughout his life, Charlie was a mild-mannered, good-hearted individual and a source of encouragement to many people.  He had an everlasting love for family and friends and truly enjoyed spending time with them.  He laughed often, felt unbridled happiness, and loved unconditionally.  Charlie had a special way of getting to know people and becoming a part of their lives.  He was a friend you could depend on and he was always ready to help in any way that he could.  His smile and fun-loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who loved him dearly.

On Wednesday, February 20, 2019, Charlie entered into eternal rest.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon D. Parker.

He leaves fond memories that will forever be cherished by his very special friend and devoted companion, Deborah Conley of Albany, GA; children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who were most dear to his heart; seven siblings, Bennie L. Warren of Cordele, GA, Dave Parker, Sr., Alonzo Parker, Lorraine Parker, and Joyce A. Parker all of Albany, GA, Darlene Martin of Fayetteville, NC, and Earnestine Martin of Trenton, NJ; nephews and nieces, Montavious Jones of Conyers, GA, Dave Parker, Jr. of Lagrange, GA, Marcus Parker of Florida, Bennie L. Warren, Jr. of South Carolina, and Vashaune H. Williams and Alicia K. Childs both of Albany, GA; five aunts, Della A. Hobbs-Morgan, Lillie (Willie) Bryant, and Gloria Hobbs all of Albany, GA, Mae L. Marlin of Sylvester, GA, and Jeanette Johnson of Atlanta, GA; and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
