With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Charlie James Peters Sr., who departed this life on April 7, 2025, at the age of 84. Born to Easter Peters and Annie Glover on February 14, 1941, Charlie was a devoted father, a strong and steady presence, and a man whose wisdom, humility, and love touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Charlie worked as a truck driver for several companies until his retirement due to health reasons. He was known for his exceptional mechanical skills and his witty sense of humor, which endeared him to all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Peters (Kathleen), and his son, Bobby Peters.

Charlie is survived by his eight children: Matthew Peters (Gayla), Charlie James Peters Jr., Vanessa Isaac (Stevie), Barbara Peters, Joseph Reed (Sabrina), Steve Mosley (Carmen), Dontavious Polite, and Elicia Polite. He also leaves behind a host of loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as his cherished niece, Adriana Evans. He was also deeply loved by his favorite cousin, David Peterson, who was like a brother to him.

His memory will live on through each of them and through the many lives he impacted with his kindness, strength, and unwavering love. May he rest in peace knowing that he touched countless lives with his generosity and compassion.
