IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charlotte
Crews
August 12, 1946 – May 7, 2020
Charlotte D. Crews was born in Edison, Georgia on August 12, 1946, to the late Fannie K. Crews Fleming and Albert Jones.
She received her formal education in the Dougherty County School System, including Monroe High School. Throughout her school years, she was active in various organizations, activities, and events.
Very early in life, Charlotte accepted Christ as her personal Savior and began her journey with the Lord. She was a dedicated member of Christ Harvest Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church where she lifted her voice in praise to the Lord, and loved "Old Fashioned Devotion."
Family meant the world to Charlotte and she was deeply committed to them. She was a loving mother and grandmother who taught her children to be respectful and humble, to love one another, and to love and trust in the Lord. Charlotte lived a life of kindness tempered with an exuberant spirit. She never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. Her home was a revolving door for friends and family who always looked forward to her delectable treats. She will be remembered by many as a friend you could always count on; a faithful and unselfish servant; and a kind, giving woman with a sweet spirit.
On May 7, 2020, Charlotte was called home to be with her Lord and Savior. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving grandmother, Katie Crews; three sisters, Marie Fleming, Wendy, Fleming, and Tonya Fleming; and her son-in-law, Issac Jenkins III.
She leaves loving memories that will forever be cherished by her caring children, Sabrina (Lynward) Cobb of Locust Grove, GA, Regina (Walton) Burden, Marcellas (Ylondra) Crews, Sr., Melissa Jenkins, Tangela Crews, and Shareen Crews; six siblings, Cynthia, Todd, Deborah, Sonya, Henry, and Crystal Fleming; grandchildren, Carlton, Walter, Myeshia, DeMarcus, Marcellas II, Angel, Tyler, Brianna, Kalan, Jaylan, and Marcellas III; nine great grandchildren; one aunt, Ruth W. Crews; nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
