After a brief illness, Cherry Ann Jones, passed away peacefully at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital on Monday, April 1st. "Cherran", as she was affectionately called, was born, raised, and educated in Albany, Georgia.

Cherry loved laughing, being with her family, having fun with friends, and playing video games.  She touched the lives of many people with her kindness, smile and generosity.  Cherry was the seven of eight children born to the late J. L. "Sam" Jones and Rosia Mary Peck-Jones.

Cherry was loved, but preceded in death by sisters Glinda Jones and Glenda Mae Jones-Powell.  She will forever be remembered by her devoted, yet surviving sisters; Gloria Jones-Ponder, Emma Jones (Charlie), and Darlene Clark of Atlanta, GA, as well as her brothers; Jerry Jones, and Gregory Jones (Angela).  Cherran was also blessed with 3 half-siblings, Marian Beach, Shantorra Facen, and Ronnie Duncan, also all of Albany, GA.

Cherry was the mother to two beloved children, James (Angela) Jones of Atlanta, GA and Erika Clark of Albany, GA. She was grandmother to five treasured grandchildren Jared, Jaylan, James, Jr., Jayla, and Jody Edwards, Jr. Also missing her will be 2 cherished God-sisters, Betty Williams-Rowe and Linda Allen- Woodson, among countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members whom were blessed to have known her.
