Obituary

Christine Grier Beal was born in Dawson, Georgia on September 22, 1938. She was the loving daughter of the late John Wesley and Birdie Mae Grier.

She was educated in the Terrell County School System. Christine was an exceptionally talented young lady who developed a passion for cooking and food service during her early school years.

Very early in life, Christine accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Old Field of Terrell County.

She dearly loved the Lord and remained humble throughout life's journey.

Christine was a very conscientious, persistent individual whose great love for food led her to here true calling and life-long career. Although largely selftaught, she quickly grasped culinary concepts that allowed her to create bold and memorable flavors while employed at Merry Acres Restaurant for over 30 years. Throughout her career, she cooked with instinct; created succulent, mouth-watering dishes; and was always searching for new recipes. Upon retirement, she was hailed as a true "master" of her trade!

A genuinely good-hearted, humble lady, Christine gained much from her life
eperiences. Her love for family and friends was infinite and she cherished each moment spent with them. She was the kind of person anyone would be proud to call mother, sister, aunt, cousin, or friend. Truly, she was an angel on earth who left an indelible impression on everyone who knew and loved her.

On April 4, 2024, Christine transitioned to eternal peace and rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dan Beal, Jr.; her son, Ricky Beal; and six siblings, Margaret Latimore, Ossie Lee Grier, Willie C. Grier, Johnny Will Grier, John Thomas Grier, and Jay Lynn Grier.

Loving memories will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Juanita Beal, Dan Beal III, Rodney Beal, Carol Beal, and William Beal all of Albany, GA; siblings, Mary Eva Grier and Annie Lois Grier of Dawson, GA,, Mae Grier and Oscar (Betty) Grier of Albany, GA; sisters-in-law, Carrie Grier and Willie Mae Grier of Parrot, GA; sixteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
