Mr. Christopher Wayne Sapp was born on July 19th, 1955, to the late Mr. Robert and Mrs. Martha Butler- Sapp. The youngest of four boys, Mr. Sapp attended Dougherty County Schools before enlisting in the United States Army. His most memorable times were spent as a Motor Transport Operator during his tours in Germany, Amsterdam, and Austria.
After a stint in the service, Mr. Sapp was employed by Firestone Tire Company. In 1982, Mr. Sapp joined matrimony with the former Ms. Jacqueline Butts.
Mr. Sapp was an avid checkers player. He enjoyed collecting antiques, fishing, and gardening. Mr. Sapp's creativity was beyond measures. In 2006, he was featured in the Albany Herald for his creative "Flintstones" car flower pot.
Mr. Sapp was a spiritual man and a member of New Jerusalem Pentecostal Church.
Mr. Sapp leaves behind three beautiful children to cherish his memories. Raquel M. Mathis (William) of Austell, GA; Travis D. Sapp (Erin) of Douglasville, GA; Christopher W. Sapp, II of Powder Springs, GA. Four grandchildren: LaDarrian, Te'Andrra, Ke'Ambria Mathis, and Tyra Sapp. Three brothers: Robert Sapp, Jr. (Lillie) of Fredericksburg, VA; Sylvester Sapp (Margaret) of Albany, GA; Alvin G. Sapp Sr. (Kathryn) of Baconton, GA. A host of nieces, nephews cousins, and close friends.
