IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clara Bell
Harris Cicero
October 12, 1936 – May 21, 2019
The journey of life for Clara Bell Harris Cicero began in Dawson, Georgia on October 12, 1936. She was the beloved daughter of the late Frank Bell and Lizy James.
She was educated in the Terrell County School System and was active in many school functions and activities.
Very early in life, Clara accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Through the years, she continued her walk with the Lord. She was a dedicated member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and served faithfully wherever needed. Although few people knew that she was blessed with a "voice like an angel," Clara enjoyed singing and serving the Lord with gladness.
Lump, as she was affectionately called, was domestic at heart and unwavering in her dedication to foster a home filled with love, joy, and strong values. As a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker, she ate not the bread of idleness; she was constant in her efforts to care for the needs of her family.
Often described as a strong but gentle woman, Clara had a heart of gold and impacted many lives and families in the community. She was a selfless person who saw the beauty in all things, accepted everyone for who they were, and openly welcomed them into her heart and home. You couldn't know her without being inspired by her love and devotion to her family, friends, church, and community, Throughout her life, she made many lasting friendships that will forever be remembered.
On May 21, 2019, Clara's earthly journey ended and she transitioned from our midst. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, McAuthor Cicero; two children, Annie Davidson and Roger Chambers; and six siblings.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by her brother, John Anthony Bell; five grandchildren, Degayla Chambers Wright, Benjamin James Worthy, Willie Davidson, Contrallia Davidson and Irally Davidson; a very special nephew, Frank Bell of Atlanta, GA and great nephew, Anthony Ray of Albany, GA; fifteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
