Clarence Reid was born in Worth County. Georgia on September 22, 1949, to the late Elizabeth Reid Miller. He was raised in the loving home of his grandparents, the late Lonnie Reid and Hannah Winkfield Reid.
He received his formal education in the Worth County School System and was active in various school activities and events. Having a strong desire to gain industrial technical skills, Clarence continued his education at Albany Technical College where he completed multiple programs of study, including Autobody and Automotive Repair, Heating and Cooling, Plumbing, and Brick Masonry. After graduation, he utilized his acquired skills in numerous employment ventures and performing services for family and friends.
Clarence had a spirit of sunshine that could be felt by all who encountered him. He was a selfless, generous man who enjoyed being active; enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends; and loved helping others. Clarence was a friend you could count on who gave of himself freely; never asking anything in return. He will truly be missed by all who had the privilege of being a part of his life.
On November 15, 2021, Clarence transitioned from this earthly life at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. In addition to his mother and grandparents, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Gloria Reid; and two uncles, Emmitt Reid and Curtis Reid.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by his daughter, Angela Sanders of Albany, GA; three grandchildren, Kenya Zackery, Quanshika Zackery, and Kameron Sanders of Albany, GA; his stepfather, Jessie Miller of Fort Pierce, FL; siblings, Jackie Miller and Bobby Miller of Atlanta, GA, Renay Miller of Fort Pierce, FL, Cynthia Miller of West Palm Beach, FL, LaVonne Barlow, Sheron Barlow, Cassandra Barlow, Audrey Barlow Johnson, Develma Westbrook, and Terry Barlow all of Albany, GA; aunts, Mildred Smith of West Palm Beach, FL, Ruby Pinder of Fort Pierce, FL, and Lucille Ransom of Port St. Lucie, FL; uncle, John L. (Pearlie Mae) Reid of Albany, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
