Obituary

Clarence Taylor, son of the late Rushie B. Harold and John Henry Taylor, Sr., was born in Albany, Georgia on May 10, 1952.

He received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System where he participated in various school functions.

Clarence was profoundly devoted to his family and friends and would defend them to the bitter end.  He loved deeply, laughed often, and lived life to the fullest.  He was an incredible father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend who would do anything in his power to help them.  He had a love for music and enjoyed sharing his "made-up songs" with anyone who would listen.  "Shank Bone" as he was affectionately called, was always upbeat and always had a joke or a song.  He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

On Thursday, December 14, 2017, Clarence's earthly journey ended and he entered into eternal rest.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Benjamin E. Jefferson.

He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish fond memories his son, Reginald Stubbs; two grandchildren, Regina Stubbs and Jamartqis Frazier; ten siblings, Charlie B. Jackson, John H. (Annie) Taylor, Jr., Annie Lee Jefferson, Julia Jones, Clara Wallace, Emma (Johnny) Price, Alice Taylor, and Rushie B. Taylor all of Albany, GA, and  Leroy Jefferson and Charlie J. Harold of Atlanta, GA; three special nieces, Carolyn (Walter) Terrell, Stephanie Taylor, and Latosha Flownory; a special friend, Peggy Clyde; aunt, Alice Watson; a favorite cousin, Vernon Watson , Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
