Clementine Benton Bell, daughter of the late Aaron and Tessie Benton, was born December 10, 1952, in Eldorendo, Georgia.
She was educated in the Decatur County School System, graduating from Hutto High School in 1970. Hailing from a family that valued higher education, she continued her quest for knowledge at Monroe Area Technical School, earning a diploma in Practical Nursing.
At a very early age, she accepted Christ as her Savior and united with Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. In later years, she united with Eureka Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Bill Edge, Sr. Clementine was a dedicated member who served faithfully as a Deaconess and willingly rendered her talents wherever needed in the church.
She was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Franklin Eugene Bell, Sr. They shared a love that endured through the years and a devotion to one another that was strong and unshakeable. She was a committed wife and mother who devoted her life to caring for the needs of her family through her nursing career with the State of Georgia's Crisis Stabilization Unit. She retired having rendered years of loyal and dedicated service.
Always gentle and kind, Clementine was a selfless person who saw the beauty in all things, accepted everyone for who they were, and openly welcomed them into her heart and home. She was looked upon as a trusted counsel, a difference maker, and an unforgettable friend.
