September 29, 1978 – December 25, 2020
A Time to Be Born: The season of life for Contausha Trinee Mitchell Broadwater began in Albany, Georgia on September 29, 1978. She was the daughter of Bonita M. Winchester and Minister Clarence Drake.
A Time to Learn: She was educated in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Monroe Comprehensive High School. Contausha valued higher education and viewed it as a pathway to greater employment opportunities. She continued her studies at Darton College in Phlebotomy and Medical Assisting.
A Time to Serve: Contausha had the great advantage of growing up in a home in which the Lord was feared and worshipped. At a very early age, she professed her faith and belief in Christ, was baptized, and remained a faithful servant throughout life's journey.
A Time to Love: On September 27, 2019, Contausha was united in marriage to Aubrey Broadwater. Together, they embarked on a life filled with love, adventure, and devotion to each other. Family was paramount in her life—she was a wife and mother who was steadfast in creating a home atmosphere filled with love and joy.
A Time to Work: Over the years, Contausha held fast to her belief in professional work ethics and responsibilities. She began her career as a Phlebotomist with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital where she successfully progressed in her field. In later years, she became a Detention Officer at the Dougherty County Jail. While her work there proved to be rewarding, her passion and love of the medical industry never left her. Ultimately, she returned back to her true calling—working untiringly as a Medical Assistant in Oncology and later at Albany Urology. Her career was defined by hard work, high expectations, and unquestionable integrity.
A Time to Embrace: "Punkin" as she was fondly called, garnered much from her experiences and embraced life with open arms. She was blessed to have many cherished friendships, to create strong connections that helped her spirit shine, and to make a difference in the lives of people around her. Contausha was a warm, friendly, gregarious, intelligent, fun-loving individual who will forever be remembered.
