Cora Lee Person, beloved daughter of the late Aretha B. and Jimmy L. Hill, was born in Warwick, Georgia on February 4, 1947.
During the early years of her life, she attended the public schools of Worth and Dougherty Counties where she was active in various school functions and activities..
Cora was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and remained a faithful and devoted servant until her demise.
Through the years, she held fast to her belief that work is honorable. She was a persistent, hardworking individual who skillfully balanced her responsibilities as a mother and homemaker with her employment as a seamstress in Worth County for numerous years.
Cora always had a love of life, a servant's heart, and could see the beauty in all things around her. When spending time with her great grandchildren who were among her cherished gifts, she would turn an ordinary day into an adventure; a chore into an activity; and a boring night into a lasting memory. She was a loving and caring person who enjoyed cooking, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Her love, friendship, commitment, and encouraging words will always be remembered.
On Monday, February 5, 2018, Cora departed this earthly life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Ricky Newberry and Valarie Newberry; and two siblings, Margaret Westbrook and Pernell Hill.
