Cora Lee Williams was born on January 17, 1941 in Calhoun County Georgia to the late Rev. Willie and Rosie Mae Williams.

She was baptized early in life at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church and was educated in the public schools of Calhoun County.

She later relocated to Albany, Georgia where she continued her education at Albany Area Vocational School.

It was in Albany where Cora met and married the love of her life, Sgt. Henry Algi Williams. This union was blessed with two children, Lucinda Williams and Harvey Ray Williams, I.

Cora's professional career began at Albany Technical School. She was also employed with Albany State College. The latter years of her career were spent employed by Walter Carl Gordon, Jr., MD at the GOHUPAD Clinic as his office manager.

Cora had a magnetic personality. She was a loving, carefree, generous, and kindhearted person. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She had a deep and abiding love for her family. Cora was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sgt. Henry Algi Williams; her daughter, Lucinda Williams; and her son, Harvey Ray Williams, I.

She leaves to cherish her life a daughter-in-law, Michelle Williams of Smyrna, GA; granddaughter, Bria Michelle Williams of Smyrna, GA; grandson Harvey Ray Williams, II of Smyrna, GA; stepdaughter, Odette Woods of Little Rock, Arkansas; five sisters; Carrie Heighter of Clifton Forge, VA, Rosie Christian, Anniece Oliver Smith, and Mary Lynette English (Willie) all of Albany, GA., and Bernice Godlevsky of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, Ronnie Clark of Albany, GA; stepsister, Essierene (Donell) Mathis of Albany, GA; stepbrother, Rudolph (Rosa) Clark of Albany, GA; sisters-inlaw, Mamie (Jerome) Bryant of Little Rock, Arkansas, Florine Thomas and Gloria Williams both of Albany, GA; a dear and devoted friend, Charlie Mulkey of Edison, GA; and a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
