Mr. Curtis Wade Dennis was born in Dougherty County, Georgia on June 16, 1965, to the late Edward Jackson and Betty Dennis. He was a product of the Dougherty County School System and attended Dougherty Comprehensive High School.
At an early age, he joined the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Lee County, Georgia where he received the "right hand of fellowship" into the body of Christ.
Known for his outgoing, kind, and friendly spirit, Curtis never met a stranger; he made friends near and far. Curtis was passionate about his family and friends, about his work, and about his life. He was a very kind, generous individual would give a person the clothes off his back. One of his most treasured pastimes was grilling for which he earned the coveted title of "grill master" by family and friends alike. He also had a love for music and dedicated a portion of his life to the music industry. Over the years, he became a well-known DJ—"Slim". Dedicated to everything he put his hands to, Curtis was a loyal and conscientious worker at Walmart until his health declined.
On the evening of October 3, 2018, the Lord saw fit to call another one of his Angels home. In addition to his father, Curtis was preceded in death by two siblings, Kathy Wise and Michael Moore.
