IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Curtis
Tinsley
December 27, 1956 – May 8, 2020
Curtis James Tinsley, beloved son of the late Carrie Mae Tinsley Davis and the late Bud Henderson, was born in Albany, Georgia on December 27, 1956.
He was educated in the Dougherty County public school at Albany High School. He was on the high school football and basketball team.
At an early age, he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and joined Second Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully. He was a dedicated member of the Deacon Board and Chairman of the Usher Board. He dearly loved the Lord and his church family.
To his friends and acquaintances, he was known as "Hoss." Besides spending time with his family and friends, Curtis had a passion for fishing. And he also loved "playing his numbers" aka The Lottery.
In 2010, he was united in holy matrimony to Juanita Perry. This union was blessed with a combined family of four children-Liquanta, Willie, Jermaine and William.
At the time of death, he was employed with MediSave Pharmacy as a courier.
On May 8, 2020, Curtis quietly departed this earthly life at Wilson Hospice House and entered into eternal glory with the Lord. As a family, we trust in God's Holy Word, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and accept that all things are done according to the Perfect Will of God. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his sister, Patty Davis-Williams and his brothers, Charlie W. Jackson, Kenneth Davis, and Warren Davis, Jr. and his nephew, Kenneth Davis, Jr.
The memories shared will always remain constant with his loving and devoting wife, Juanita Perry Tinsley; his stepchildren, Liquanta (Bruce) Posey, Willie James Perry, Jermaine O'neal Perry, and William Jacoby Perry; his siblings, Mary (Robert) Moore, Barbara Forde, and Eric (Stacey) Davis; his special grandchildren, Martazious "Pru" Freemon and Travoski "Rashod" Redding and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends.
