IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cynthia Yulinda
Adkins
May 16, 1965 – October 1, 2021
Cynthia Yulinda Adkins was born May 16, 1965, in Albany, Georgia. She was the beloved daughter of the late Mary Lou and Jimmy Lee Atkins.
She attended the public schools of Dougherty County, including Monroe High School where she actively participated in various student activities and events.
A woman of deep faith and belief in God, Cynthia was a dedicated member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Through the years, she was unfaltering in her devotion and calling as an Usher while joyfully welcoming worshippers into the service. Her encouraging words and the examples that she set served as blessings for many people.
Cynthia was a devoted mother and meticulous homemaker who diligently cared for the needs of her family through her employment at Carter's Grill, Bob's Candies, and Hot Dog King. She was the rock and foundation for her family and never hesitated to extend her warmth and care even in the most difficult times.
Often described as strong, kind, and independent, Cynthia was a determined individual who made the most of every day and inspired others with her fearless but welcoming spirit. She believed deeply in unconditional love and stood ready to help anyone in need—always with a smile and never asking anything in return. She truly enjoyed cooking and shopping.
On October 1, 2021, Cynthia transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest with the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two siblings, Turetha Childs and Victor Atkins.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by her devoted companion, Jeffrey Bruce; her children, Chantal Adkins, Clinton Doward, Jr., and Tavius Doward; seven grandchildren who held the key to her heart; siblings, Dexter Atkins (Sabrina Wilcox) and Gary (Gladys) Atkins; nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
