IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daisy Dean
Johnson Robinson
April 29, 1920 – June 14, 2019
Daisy Dean Johnson Robinson , beloved daughter of the late Albert and Emma Lewis, was born in Sasser, Georgia on April 29, 1920.
During the early years of her life, she received her formal education in the Terrell County School System.
She was united in holy matrimony to Frank Robinson. Their union stood the test of time and endured for 46 memorable years. They were blessed with five children—Charlie, Sammie, Emma, Daisy, and Annie. Domestic at heart, Daisy was unwavering in her dedication to foster a home filled with love, joy, and strong values. As a wife, mother and homemaker, she ate not the bread of idleness; she was constant in her efforts to care for the needs of her family.
Imbued with a strong Christian background, Daisy professed her faith and belief in Christ at a very early age. She was baptized and received the "right hand of fellowship" into the body of Christ at Mount Mary Baptist Church where she served for many years. Upon relocating to Connecticut with her family, she united with Pilgrim Way Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Robert L. Littlejohn. Ms. Deanie, as she was affectionately called, remained steadfast and unmovable while serving the Lord. After her husband's demise, she returned to Albany and united with Berachah Fellowship Church under the guidance of Rev. Ronald F. Smith. She later united with County Line Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Jack Johnson and continued to serve faithfully until her transition—she was rooted and grounded in the Lord.
Blessed beyond measure, Mother Robinson reached the hallowed age of 99. She lived to see generations of her off-springs with whom she left a legacy of love, humility, generosity, and godliness. She was a kind and generous lady who greeted each day with a smile, who was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends, and who touched the lives of many people in a very special way. You couldn't know her without being inspired by her love and devotion to her family, friends, church, and community.
On June 14, 2019, Ms. Deanie was called from labor to reward . In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Charlie Robinson and Sammie Robinson.
Loving memories will be forever cherished by her daughters, Emma Jackson of Albany, GA, and Daisy Griggs and Annie Holmes both of Hartford, CT; grandchildren, Sharon Rambo and Steven (Dale) Robinson of Albany, GA, Tandra (Rashad) Archie of Orlando, FL, and Linda (John) Taylor, Michelle Holmes, Murray Holmes, and Angela (Lamone) Robinson all of Hartford, CT; ten great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; an adopted granddaughter, Lynn Ponder of Hartford, CT; goddaughters, Gail Peterson of Albany, GA and Mattie Johnson of Hartford, CT; and sever nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
