Obituary

The season of life for Dan Beal, Jr. began on July 14, 1939, in Parrott, Georgia. He was the beloved son of the late Dan Beal, Sr. and Vary Lee Beal.

He received his formal education in the public schools of Terrell County at Red Hill in Parrott, Georgia.

At a very young age, Dan accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with the Jackson Grove Baptist Church.  He was a faithful servant of the Lord and remained constant in his Christian walk throughout life's journey.

He was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Christine.  They shared a love that endured through the years and a devotion to one another that was strong and unshakeable.  Their union was blessed with loving children who were taught the importance of living a life of integrity, strong values, and kindness.  As a husband and father, he looked well to the ways of his household and ate not the bread of idleness.  For many years, he was a loyal and dedicated employee of the R. C. Cola Company.  He firmly believed in working hard for what you want and always being willing to do the right thing.

Dan had a spirit of sunshine that could be felt by all who encountered him.  He was a selfless, generous man who enjoyed being active; enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends; and loved helping others.  He will truly be missed by all who had the privilege of being a part of his life.

On Monday, September 14, 2020, Dan transitioned from this earthly season to his eternal home.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Beal; and five siblings, Ethel Lewis, Fleta Pearl Oates, Charlie Beal, Sr., Carven Beal, and George Beal.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Christine Beal of Albany, GA; his children, Junita Beal, Dan Beal, Jr., Carol Beal, Rodney Beal, William Beal, and Terrence Grant all of Albany, GA; one brother, Adolphus Beal of Atlanta, GA; twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren all of Albany, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

" Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father's house are many mansions.  If it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
