IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daniel Lamar
Taylor
January 31, 1973 – February 11, 2023
Daniel Lamar Taylor was born in Albany, Georgia on January 31, 1973. He was the beloved son of Versey Taylor and the late Robert James Knight.
During the early years of his life, he attended the public schools of Dougherty County and participated in various school activities. As a youth, he accepted Christ as his lord and Savior.
He was united in holy matrimony to Kenyvanna Taylor on March 12, 1999. Their union endured the years and they were blessed with five children Kiara, Jacari, Shema, Noonke, and Diamond.
"Slim" as loved ones would call him, was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who skillfully balanced his responsibilities as a truck driver with Heartland Express. Devoted husband, loving father, superb grandfather, endearing son, caring brother, funfilled uncle, reliable cousin, and compassionate friend, Daniel was a good natured and generous individual with a big heart, and a pleasure to be around. "IF SLIM CAN"T DO IT, NOBODY CAN!"
Daniel had a spirit of sunshine, humor, and laughter that could be felt by everyone around him. His lending hand and helpfulness to all people and his devotion and love for his family and friends are lasting tributes to the beauty of his heart and soul.
On February 11, 2023, Daniel peacefully departed this earthly life. His presence will deeply be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Lula Mae Thomas - Knight: grandparents, Magnolia Taylor and Ulysee Taylor, Sr., and his siblings, Ray Knight, Roger Thomas, and Tasha Swan.
Although absent from the body, he will be forever present in the hearts of his beautiful wife, Kenyvanna Taylor of Albany, GA; mother, Versey Taylor of Albany, Georgia; five children, Kiara Taylor of Smyrna, GA, JaCari Taylor, Ka'Shema Redding, Berrick Redding, Jr., and Diamond (Re'Shaad) Taylor; three grandchildren, Re'Shaad Facen, Jr., Mason Sutton, and De'Liyah Redding; siblings, Daphine (Ben) Morris of Albany, GA, Joseph Hill of Albany, GA, Angela Knight of Camilla, GA, Michael Knight of Albany, GA, and Wanda Jones of Camilla, GA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, godkids, other relatives, and friends.
