IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David
Irvin
July 7, 1961 – August 22, 2022
David Irvin was born in Albany, Georgia on July 7, 1961, to Margaret J. Irvin and the late John Henry Irvin, Sr.
Growing up in Albany, he received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System. Throughout school, he was a lively, energetic student who was always ready for adventure.
At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and remained prayerful throughout life's journey.
David was an extremely conscientious individual who worked untiringly with various businesses in the Albany area. He was the "go-to guy" who everyone relied upon to get the job done and he always did it with pride. Over the years, he became more than just a worker—many saw him as a friend.
Family and friends were among David's greatest treasures and he looked forward to spending time with them. He found joy in every circumstance and his one-of-a-kind personality drew people to him. Anyone who knew him would agree that he was extremely straight-forward, unpretentious, and strong willed; but he was also a good guy with a big heart for all things. He delighted in helping others and never asking anything in return.
On Monday, August 22, 2022, David transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Washington; three siblings, Nathaniel Irvin, Joseph Irvin, and Dale Ivin; and his sister-in-law, Eunice Irvin and brother-in-law, Wilson Thomas.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by his children, David Irvin, Jr., Shekeither Harper, Kimberly Washington, Sheikeithia Washington, Dontavious Washington, Cassandra Washington, and Vontrisa (Kwandrell) Mitchell; his loving mother, Margaret J. Irvin; two siblings, John H. Irvin, Jr. and Lisa Thomas; 29 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; a devoted niece, Daphne Irvin; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends
